Okay, so I didn't post yesterday. I could give you a whole list of excuses, but I think they would bore you and really none of them are acceptable. Just like I don't really have a good excuse for not cleaning the bathrooms this week or doing the dishes since yesterday morning or ironing my husband's clothes. It seems my brain has decided that it is time for summer vacation. I've been so unmotivated. Today I tried to change that, but the dishes still aren't done. Here's what I've been up to:
- Planted more pickle plants (the rabbits ate the other ones) and more pepper plants. I also planted zucchini plants and watermelon. Wasn't really planning on watermelon but that is what the hubster brought back from the store.
- Cleaned out the van from the inside out. It took me over 2 hours. Wow! did we collect dirt in there over the winter. I feel so refreshed now when I settle in my taxi. I'm almost tempted to sit in there tonight so I don't have to sit in my dirty house.
- Welcome Hippies! Our town hosts a music festival every year over Memorial Day weekend. Think small town Woodstock. I'm not sure how big Woodstock was but they are predicting 30,000 people for the weekend. So maybe it's not small town. I just got back from the grocery and realized that some of them arrived early. It's almost tempting to sit on the bench in front of the store and people watch. The police people watch--only they do it inside the store near the beer aisle.
- We are redoing our kids' Sunday school classrooms at church. They are going to look so very awesome. I'll post some pictures. For a hint check out http://www.creativeforkids.com/.
- We are going on a field trip with Ashley tomorrow. Woohoo! That means school is almost done. I am so ready for school to be out.
- We got a picnic table and it is awesome. We haven't eaten inside all week. You know what that means...I don't have to mop near as much. Yeah! I LOVE it!
- Oh, I forgot to mention--Willie Nelson is coming to this year's music festival. It was so very tempting to spend some of our vacation money to go hang out with the druggies and hear Willie. However, we're less than a mile from the music stages, so we thought we'd sit out on our picnic table and see if we could hear the twang from here.
- I actually voted last night for American Idol. I'll let you know if my choice won.

Have fun on Ashley's field trip. Where are you headed? We've seen kids on field trips here to the top of Pikes Peak, Olympic Training Center & the Air Force Academy. We never got to take field trips like that - especially taking a train up Pikes Peak!
I have sat in my car to get a clean fix when the kitchen/house couldn't give me one. It's cheaper than therapy.
