Sign number 376 that...

I need to be getting more sleep. I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out what was going on with my printer/copier and was pretty much completely convinced that it was broken. (I do not have a good track record with these things.) It was then that I realized that it wasn't shutting off by itself. Instead of the pressing what I thought was the "okay, print button", I was pressing the power button. Think it is safe for me to drive??

The land of corn and pigs

I started 5 straight days of 3 hour or more car trips yesterday. Don't feel sorry for me--it's my fault for lack of proper planning. I didn't even realize I'd done it until I started out yesterday. Anyway, I went to my former homeland yesterday. It was a quick trip, but I got to attend the annual Christmas in July party and the kids got to reconnect with old friends.

My group of friends in the land of corn and pigs have taken "be fruitful and multiply" seriously. After I left our party last night I figure that the 8 women there were moms to 30 kids (one hasn't been born yet). As Joe says, that is definitely one way to grow the Kingdom!

I home now and heading out again once the laundry is caught up and repacked. Speaking of which, I don't hear the dryer anymore...

It's the most wonderful time...

of the year. I cannot get that song out of my head for some reason. We just passed Christmas in July and you know what that means. Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad! My parents celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary this passed weekend. And I actually got to celebrate it with them and my sister. Since I completely overbooked my summer and did not have a chance to drive out to the midwest and see my sister, my parents brought my sister to me. It was a great weekend with all the cousins hanging out together. Thanks for sharing your special day with us mom & dad!
