the specially formulated diet

A dear friend shared this with me and I felt obligated to pass it on:

This is a specially formulated diet designed to help women cope with the STRESS that builds during the day.

Breakfast

1 grapefruit
1 slice whole wheat toast
1 cup skim milk

Lunch

1 small portion lean, steamed chicken
1 cup spinach
1 cup herbal tea
1 Hershey's kiss

Afternoon Snack

The rest of the Hershey kisses in the bag
1 tub of Hagen-Daaz ice cream with chocolate chips

Dinner

4 glasses of wine (red or white)
2 loaves garlic bread
1 family size supreme pizza
3 Snickers Bars

Late Night Snack

1 whole Sarah Lee cheesecake (eaten directly from the freezer)
As I mentioned in my previous post, my kids have been spending time with Grandpa and Grandma Snow. Last week Ashley and John got to hang out with them and this week Sara and Nathan are bonding. Here are some pictures of the mighty fisherkids. (You'll have to look close to see some of the fish.)

Picture this:

It is 6:45am, and John has emerged from his bed in his incredible hulk boxer shorts. He quickly places his new batman mask on his face, grabs his kung fu panda and evil rhinoceros and commences a battle complete with authentic karate chop audio. As I walk in, he creates a cease fire so that he can say to me "Mom, have you seen me in the mirror. I look very scary." "John, I can already see that you look scary." "No mom, you have to see me in the mirror. I look very scary in the mirror. See? I look very scary." Yes, the world should be very afraid of kung fu batman hulk--especially if he is looking in the mirror!

Andrew David

I have a new nephew! Andrew (Drew) David Robey was born last night at 8:43pm(est). He was 7lbs and 12 oz. Everything went great. If you want to see pictures, you can check out my sister's blog.

Another bit of big news!!!

Yes, I know I haven't posted much lately and I don't really have any excuses except pure summer laziness. Oh, and I've kind of gotten into a book. I've started the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers (up to now I'd never read her before). I'm about three-fourths of the way through the first book and I've got the next two checked out of the library for some vacation reading. If I don't read them then I'm not sure when I'll read them as after vacation all four of my kids will be back home. Oh, I guess I skipped that part--my kids have been visiting Grandpa and Grandma Snow's over the last week and a half--two at a time. It's been fun both for us and Grandpa and Grandma.

Anyway, on to the big news, as I type my sister is at the hospital getting ready to have her third child. It's presumably a boy--at least that is what the ultrasound technician proclaimed. So I'm awaiting a phone call and trying to think if there is anyway I can finagle a way to get to Georgia during my vacation to see my new nephew (or possibly niece). Well, Ashley and John are wanting to play a game of Spiderman Operation so I'm off to the O.R....
